My name is James Dean and I write music, design sounds and experiment in audio mischief under the moniker WHAT is VALiS. I work as a freelance composer and sound designer for media and have been making games and scoring media professionally since 2010
In the field I wield a Sound Devices 702 and Sennheiser MKH 30 | 40 mid side rig with full Rycote kit
In the studio my tools include Cubase, Ableton Live, Reaper, and a multitude of sample libraries from top developers such as Spitfire Audio, Heavyocity, and 8Dio
Death Trash is a modern post-apocalyptic roleplaying game with influences of cyberpunk, science fiction, horror, the grotesque and trash-talk humor. It features a world full of dialogue and interesting characters, item crafting and realtime combat. Player freedom is emphasized and combat is not the only way to survive. Inspired by roleplaying classics like Ultima 7, Planescape: Torment and Fallout. Supports Mouse, Gamepad and Local Co-op.

unEarthly Ambience contains 27 background ambiences designed from original field and modular synthesiser recordings. The result is a mixture of eerie organic textures, thick industrial machine rooms, and futuristic sci-fi atmospheres.
